To make it easier to see where objects are moving, you can upload a reference map, for example a ground plan or an aerial photo, that shows the area covered by the radar detector. The default live view will show the radar coverage and any detected movement, and you can add detection zones and rules right away. The detector is ready to use as soon as it is installed. If there are a lot of metal objects in the field of view there will be a lot of reflections impacting the performance. Detectors that are mounted one above the other do not cause interference, no matter the distance.Īt the recommended mounting height, the near detection limit is 4.5 m (15 ft). If two detectors are side by side but angled away from each other, for instance when mounted on a pole, then there might not be any interference even if they are closer than 2.5 meters from each other. To avoid interference between radar detectors that are mounted side by side, the distance between the units should be at least 2.5 meters. To configure different channels, see How to install multiple detectors. To avoid interference you can select different channels for the detectors. If two radar detectors of are mounted close together they may interfere with each other. Do not install the detector on a swaying pole. To be able to correctly identify movement in the coverage area, the detector needs to be installed on a stable mount. Install the detector on a pole, or on a spot on a wall where there are no other objects or installations close to it. Any solid object (such as a tree or a bush) in the coverage area will create a blind spot (radar shadow) behind it. The detector is intended for monitoring open areas. ![]()
